In 1973 the Who released their second rock opera Quadrophenia. Considered by many to be the band's masterpiece as well as one of the greatest albums of all time, Quadrophenia would go on to achieve legendary cult status, spawning a movie in 1979 and reviving the mod movement which forms a central part of its narrative. The story of this concept album takes place in the early days of The Who in the 60s and revolves around a young mod called Jimmy Cooper who is characterised by four district personalities.

Over the last 50 years Quadrophenia has continued to capture the hearts and minds of successive generations of music fans who remain emotionally attached to both album and movie to this day, its themes still ringing true with youngsters all over the world.

However, when The Who took this bold and ground-breaking album out on the road in 1973, they were beset by technical problems and it wasn't until 1996 that the album was finally performed by the band in full in a live setting.

In 2023 for the 50th anniversary of Quadrophenia, Who's Next - The Premier Live Tribute To The Who (themselves celebrating their own 20th anniversary as a band) will be taking the record on tour like it should have been back in 1973, playing the majority of it and where possible using background visuals that will bring the story of Jimmy Cooper to life.

This show will be one not to be missed and a highlight for any fan of the Who and classic album rock.

Support sets will be provided by Rhys E, a 6-man band based in Manchester who create an indie disco atmosphere with their huge riffs and catchy choruses, and from The Kaves, a four piece indie/alternative rock band from Glasgow.
