Theo Travis is an internationally renowned jazz and progressive saxophonist based in London. He has recorded ten solo albums, toured all over the world with artists such as Soft Machine, David Gilmour, Robert Fripp and Steven Wilson, and he has appeared as featured soloist on over 130 albums.
Before the evening’s Soft Machine concert, he will deliver a saxophone workshop in The Great Hall, Liverpool Hope University Creative Campus. This workshop is suitable for all abilities and in it Theo will talk about practice tips and ideas, tone development, and other aspects of jazz and rock sax playing drawing on his vast experience. He will demonstrate his playing ideas and invite participants to join in, so do bring your saxophone!
